To celebrate World Environment Day 2013, SUMO will be holding their WED/CSR 2013 Day, this Saturday, 8th June 2013. The team will be accompanying a group of children from disadvantaged backgrounds for a fun day out at Kuala Lumpur’s Zoo Negara. Approximately 35 kids will get the opportunity to spend an exciting day at the National Zoo, whilst learning about the animals, their habitats and the environment. SUMO hopes to discover some budding environmentalists and even inspire some of these kids to become environmental champions.
World Environment Day (WED) 2013 celebrates ‘Think.Eat.Save’ which is an anti-food waste and food loss campaign that encourages the reduction of one’s foodprint. By making informed decisions on food, we can all reduce food waste, reduce the environmental impact of food and force food production processes to become more efficient.
