On October 29 and 30, 2013, ILSAS Bangi was the stage for brilliant minds to come together to share their passion and knowledge in electric vehicles (EV). TNB Integrated Learning Solution (ILSAS) collaborating with SUMO, hosted a 2-days training course entitled “Green Transportation” and the electric car showcase was one of the highlights of the course.
The representatives from two different organisations demonstrated their EV models to the excited participants. Edaran Tan Chong Motors (ETCM) showed their Nissan Leaf and demonstrated the different features of the car while a team of engineering students from UNITEN displayed a modified police car, which they assembled and designed themselves using 90% locally made products. The bonus was the rare opportunity of being taken for a short drive in the EVs.
As a result of the course material they had learned, the participants were able to ask deep and thoughtful questions regarding EV and its deployment to which the EV representatives responded very professionally. The event was successful in connecting the information learned in the classroom to real life applications. SUMO is delighted at the fantastic outcome of this event and look forward to providing more learning opportunities with the support from our partners in UNITEN and Edaran Tan Chong Motors.
