International Renewable Energy Conference (IREC)

15th – 17th January 2013
The Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has teamed up with REN21 – the Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21st Century - to organize the next International Renewable Energy Conference (IREC) in Abu Dhabi on 15-17 January 2013.
Dedicated exclusively to the renewable energy sector, IREC is a high-level political conference series hosted by alternate Governments every two years and convened by REN21. Next year’s IREC in Abu Dhabi (ADIREC) has adopted the theme `Powering the Future of Energy Innovation’ and will continue to build upon the successes and outcomes of the previous conferences held in Delhi in 2010, Washington in 2008, Beijing in 2005 and Bonn in 2004.

Ride for Cleaner and Greener PENANG

Ride for Cleaner and Greener PENANG

The State Government of Penang is organising Ride for Cleaner and Greener Penang on 6th January 2013 to promote public awareness of green transportation in order to create a greener public realm. This activity encourages people to walk, cycle or use public transport instead of using car for short trips. There will also be a 39 km bicycle ride starting at Straits Quay, passing many iconic Penang sites.

Seventh Asia Pacific Ecotourism Conference (APECO) 2012

The seventh Asia Pacific Ecotourism Conference (APECO) will be held in Penang this November. The event is an opportunity for those in the eco-tourism industry to come together to network and share their knowledge and experience on ecotourism, conservation, community based projects and eco-accommodation.
