The Water Malaysia 2013 International Conference and Exhibition will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre this 23rd – 25th April 2013. The event, organised by Malaysian Water Association will be held simultaneously with Irrigation & Drainage 2013 and Water Loss Asia 2013. Exhibitors from all over the world will share their latest technologies, products and systems related to water management. The event also includes the 3rd Water Inno Awards to honor researchers and scientist from government and private universities for their innovative solutions, technologies and products.

The Feed-in Tariff (FiT) & Sustainability Achieved Via Energy efficiency (SAVE) Roadshow and Workshop aims to explain renewable energy and energy efficiency, benefits of the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) for renewable solar energy, and saving money with the SAVE rebate coupons for purchasing energy efficient appliances. A full-day mini exhibition will be held on Saturday, 20th April 2013, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at TESCO, Bandaraya Melaka and a half-day workshop will be held on Sunday, 21st April 2013 at Alam Damai Hall, Level 5, Bayview Hotel, Melaka.

Aveda Walk for Water is an international charity campaign driving public action towards providing clean water to communities in need. This year, the walk will take place at the Square, Publika Mall, Solaris Dutamas, Kuala Lumpur. The 2.5 km mass walk symbolises the distance individuals without clean water supply have to walk for fresh water. Through the walk, Aveda aims to generate awareness to the local water crisis faced by rural communities and islanders in Malaysia. The funds raised for this Malaysian event will assist in delivering safe and clean drinking water to some 1200 villagers on the island of Mantanani (Sabah).

The environmental Education Alliance of South East Asia, Reef Check Malaysia, Ecoknights and Go! International have come together to bring you the annual Rockin’ 4 the Reefs! The event will be held in The Square, Publika from 1 pm - 9 pm with a full programme featuring a free concert, NGO Bazaar, school performances, face painting booths and more! Through this family friendly event, the organisers hope to raise awareness on the importance of our local coral reefs and also raise funds for conservation initiatives.

Justlife^tm in conjunction with Earth Day has organised a 2 week travelling carnival across peninsular Malaysia at selected outlets. Venues include IPC (Ikano), Puchong, Seremban, Melaka, Penang, USJ14, and The Gardens. Activities scheduled during the carnival include Farmer’s Market, Organic Cooking, Heartisan Claypot Cooking, Artisan Bread Making, Organic Beauty Experience, Natural Soap Making and Handcrafted ice-pops. Event is open to public and aimed at promoting wholesome natural products in conjunction with Earth Day.

Astro Kasih’s Marine day is an event held in conjunction with the ‘Astro Beautiful Malaysia campaign’; an environmental project initiated to raise awareness on the importance of preserving our marine environment. The Astro Kasih’s Marine Day will be held from 8am – 4 pm at Taman Awam Teluk Likas, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah to educate the public and raise awareness about marine conservation in the region. Planned activities includes, talks, snorkelling & scuba diving lessons, cooking demo, kid activities, exhibitions and concerts featuring local artist.

The 2nd Malaysia Eco Building and Design Exhibition will be held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) this March. The exhibition aims to encourage green architecture, practices and designs for green buildings in the future.

This year, together with a group of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) staff, we had a fulfilling and productive visit exploring new and existing green technology in the local market displayed by 85 exhibitors. From green walls to green cement, the range of products on display was targeted specifically at home owners, builders and developers alike. Workshops, forums, biz talks and an eco-product award ceremony were also held throughout the Eco-B exhibition.
